Welcome to Worm World, where I tell you what I think about Worm by Wildbow >:3 (and my Worm OC's too I guess)
Worm is an online web serial that's free to read at this link. It was written by John C. McRae, aka Wildbow, and the synopsis of the book is as follows: "An introverted teenage girl with an unconventional superpower, Taylor goes out in costume to find escape from a deeply unhappy and frustrated civilian life. Her first attempt at taking down a supervillain sees her mistaken for one, thrusting her into the midst of the local ‘cape’ scene’s politics, unwritten rules, and ambiguous morals. As she risks life and limb, Taylor faces the dilemma of having to do the wrong things for the right reasons."
It is an absolutely brilliant book, and if you're interested at all, go give it a read! Fair warning, it is quite long, and sits at around 1.68 million words, but let me tell you, it is well worth the time commitment. The characters are all incredibly well written, the power system is complex but Wildbow manages to describe it in easy to understand ways, and it's just so unique. I haven't seen any other superhero media that handles superheroes/villains in such a realistic way, and that's a sentiment shared by a large chunk of Worm's fanbase.
Anyways, this page will include/link to everything Worm related. My thoughts into the many arcs, chapters and characters it contains, along with all of my Worm OC's, and the lore I've created for them.
If you've read Worm before, you might be interested in hearing my thoughts on the larger themes of Worm here, or my many Worm OC's. If you haven't read it before, you should go read it :3. But I guess you can stick around if you're not interested. Just be warned there are many spoilers!! Like major spoilers. You've been warned.
